14th International Conference on the Chemistry and Biology of Mineralized Tissues

October 22-27, 2023
Hotel De Bilderberg in Oosterbeek, The Netherlands

Special Opportunity to Attend Remotely

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Unfortunately, we have had to CANCEL the option for remote participation for the 14th ICCBMT Conference. The ICCBMT Board and Co-Chairs would like to thank everyone who applied for this program.

Deadline for abstract submission:  DEADLINE EXTENDED TO APRIL 25, 2023

The organizing committee would like to invite about 20 participants to attend the ICCBMT conference remotely at no cost. Each selected remote participant will be assigned a chaperone who is attending the conference. This chaperone will arrange personal meetings, accompany the remote attendee to poster sessions, and of course the lectures etc. can be audited.

The aim of this special program is to open the conference to those who cannot attend the conference in person for various reasons (e.g. political, financial or personal) such as visa or travel restrictions, sanctions, parenting obligations or limited research grant or personal funds. Preference will be given to junior individuals, particularly those searching for post-doc opportunities, but are unable to attend in person. Please note that applicants to this opportunity must participate in the entire conference.

Interested individuals should submit their abstract and justification for remote attendance by filling in the form below. The deadline for submissions is April 15, 2023. Submissions of particular interest to the conference may be selected for an oral presentation.

If you have any questions regarding this opportunity, please email our Conference Assistant (Cathy) at  We look forward to your submission.

Journal of Structural Biology (JSB)
A limited number of presentations (whether oral or poster) will be selected at the conference for subsequent publication as a regular article in a Special Issue of JSB free of charge. We strive to cover a comprehensive range of relevant and “cutting edge” topics in this Special Issue.

Would you like your contribution to be considered for submission as a manuscript to JSB?

Journal of Structural Biology-X (JSB-X)
An option for Open Access Publication in JSB-X as part of the Special Issue incurs an article publishing charge (APC) of USD 1,155+tax (a 50% discounted rate). Your institution may have an agreement with the publisher (Elsevier) to cover this fee; you can find out here. If not, the APC needs to be paid by the authors.

Are you interested in the JSB-X Open Access Publication option for a fee? Details will be communicated in due course.
